We’ll learn more about Street Fighter 6 as we head towards the game’s release on 2 June 2023. The developers have finally announced that they will be releasing the sixth installment in 2014. Street Fighter 5 came out in 2013 so many people were expecting a new version of this popular series. When these fighters land, they will become fully playable in the game’s fighting grounds, and also appear in World Tour Mode as hidden ‘collectibles’. Street Fighter V was released on PC last year but it is still one of the best fighting game ever made. More fighters are likely to drop in the game’s subsequent seasons of content – although we’ll have to stay tuned to see who’s on the way. Here’s the full lineup recently announced by Capcom – and note, seasons listed are based in the Northern Hemisphere: The first full year of game content was also announced, with new fighters scheduled to land every few months, and into 2024. Capcom confirmed three modes for SF6: Fighting Ground, which focuses on the classic fighting game experience with modes from previous games in the series World Tour, “an immersive single-player story experience” and Battle Hub, which sounds like a social area for player communication.Read: Street Fighter 6 embraces its weird world of fighting – Gameplay PreviewĮlsewhere in the Street Fighter 6 showcase, Capcom announced an array of new features for the upcoming game, including dynamic battle damage, custom move sets in World Tour mode, and detailed tutorials for newcomers and veterans alike. In addition to an updated roster, and a more colorful presentation for Street Fighter’s ink-splattered aesthetic, Capcom also showed off what appeared to be a free-roaming 3D component of the game, which could be a new training area. Street Fighter 6’s latest trailer confirms plenty, including the return of veteran fighters Ryu (now fully bearded and extra wide) and Chun-Li (who sports a mostly new look), as well as relative newcomers Luke (who debuted in Street Fighter 5’s final piece of downloadable content) and Jamie, a brand-new fighter.
